The current preferred alternative includes a new bridge on a new alignment. Due to the unanticipated discovery of potentially significant impacts to additional historical and cultural resources and right-of-way, and associated cost increases, DOT&PF believes it is prudent to re-evaluate alternatives for the project in light of its duty of good stewardship of the environment, historical and cultural resources, and taxpayer resources.
