PUBLIC MEETING NOTIFICATION Milepost Glenn Highway, MP 53-56 Reconstruction Project 53-56 Moose Creek Canyon MOOSECREEKCANYON O DATE: October 15, 2020 TIME: 3:00 PM 7:00 PM LOCATION: Mat-Su Transportation Virtual Fair S https://publicinput.com/MooseCreekCanyon The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), in coordination with the Federal Highway Administration, is re-evaluating alternatives to improve the Glenn Highway between Mileposts (MP) 53-56. The current preferred alternative includes a new bridge on a new alignment. Due to the unanticipated discovery of potentially significant impacts to additional historical and cultural resources and right-of-way, and associated cost increases, DOT&PF believes it is prudent to re-evaluate alternatives for the project in light of its duty of good stewardship of the environment, historical and cultural resources, and taxpayer resources. You are invited to attend an Online Public Meeting! Please join the Glenn Highway MP 53-56 Reconstruction Project team to learn about updates and what's next for the project.
