iTech Online is a unique offering, providing Middle and High School Students in MSBSD with flexible enrollment and course completion options. With access to a diverse catalog, students can pursue their interests while receiving the support they need to succeed. iTech courses are aligned with MSBSD curricular goals and, in many cases, approved by The NCAA, College Board, and meet the eligibility criteria of the Alaska Performance Scholarship. Whether you are on track, accelerating, or recovering credit, our flexibility allows students to access their courses beyond the traditional school day. Best of all, iTech is free for MSBSD Middle or High School students.
Students in the program receive support from a mentor/coordinator at their boundary school and a virtual teacher. While most classes are asynchronous, students have several opportunities to interact directly with their teachers. In a supportive ‘coach’ role, parents can access progress reports and schedule conferences with teachers to stay informed about their child's learning.
